RESUME OF THE 40th Annual General Meeting held at West End Golf Club Tuesday 17th March 2009

A welcome was given to all, by the Captain of West End Golf Club Mr Keith Hill.

The President Mr Stuart Leeming of Lightcliffe Golf Club opened the meeting taking apologies from 13 Members.

The President held a minutes silence for Roger Heap, a Past Rabbits Captain of both Halifax Ogden and Ryburn whom sadly past away during the past 12 months.

The Secretary Mr Chris. Iredale read the Minutes of the 39th A.G.M.

Mr Chris. Iredale then gave his Secretaries and Treasures report.

The President reported on his year in office making note of the particularly poor weather and hoped his successor would have much better playing conditions.

The Election of Officers took place with :-
Mr Keith Lyons from West End taking the Chain of Office as President.
Mr Ian Tootel from Todmorden became the Vice President.
Mr Chris Iredale from Ryburn continuing as Secretary/Treasurer
Mr Paul Greenwood from West End remaining as Assistant Secretary/Foundation Trophy Organiser.
Mr Mike Halstead was introduced as the new Ryburn Representative.

The Members Subscriptions for 2009 were to remain as 2008, which are £2.00 to be a Member of the Association, plus a further £3.00 to play in the “Foundation Competition”. This £3.00 would be donated to the chosen Charity of the incumbent President at the end of the Season.

The Fixtures for 2009 are to be:-
Friday 22nd May “Sam Hall Trophy” @ West End Golf Club.
Tuesday 7th July “Roger Heap Trophy” @ Ryburn Golf Club.
Wednesday 19th August Away Day & Past Captains Trophy @ Pike Hills Golf Club York.
Saturday 7th November, Annual Dinner Dance & Prize Presentation West End Golf Club.
