Four Ball Trophy Rules

This is a Four-ball Better-ball competition run on Final's Day and played off 3/4 handicap, to the Rules of Golf, as amended by the local rules of the course on which the competition is being played.

It is restricted to clubs who have entered the Mellor Trophy competition who may enter two teams.

Traditionally, though not compulsory, most clubs enter teams consisting of players who have played in the Mellor Trophy competition.

Each team member must be a full playing member of that club and have a handicap of 15,5 or over on the Friday prior to Finals Day and have played at least 3 qualifying competitions in the previous twelve months

Full Handicap certificates must be produced before playing in the competition.

"Players who reach (or play in) the semi finals / final will be required to have played 2 of their 3 qualifying competitions within 2 months of the semi final date. With handicap certificates to verify compliance"

Any disputes must be recorded on the competitors scorecard and will be settled by the members of the Committee in attendance at the competition and their decision will be final. Any disputes over the Rules of Golf will be settled in accordance with Rule 3,5.

The winners and runners up will receive prizes.
